Welcome back Dear Reader, it is good that you are here. Today I present you with 5 reasons why you cannot read your Bible as much as you should, (more like everyday 😅). These reasons I related to so much in my journey so I am in no way being judgemental to anyone, with that said get your checklist, let us diagnose why you can’t read scripture as much as you would like to.

1.The FIRST reason why you can’t read your Bible is because let’s face it 🤷subconsciously you do not know why you should read it.

According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

I need not to go deeper, the verse above gives personal reasons for every believer to read the Bible. Reading and accepting scripture is the only way your walk with God can be perfected it is the only way your faith can grow it equips us for righteousness.

1.2 Another reason why you should read your Bible is because you have to use Scripture as a weapon in WARFARE.

Pause, go read Matthew 4. In this passage of scripture Jesus is in warfare with the devil. It is interesting to find that both Jesus and the devil quote the Scriptures from the Bible to attack and counter attack each other. Let me quote what devil said,

Throw yourself yourself down, for it is written: ” He shall command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you do not strike your foot against a stone. Matthew 4:6 NIV

The devil has directly quoted from Psalm 91:1, interesting right🤣

Then Jesus replied,” It is also written: Do not put the Lord your God to the test”. Matthew 4:7

Jesus has directly quoted Deuteronomy 6:16 to counter attack the devil.

You can’t defeat the devil without reading God’s word, you see the devil also uses scripture against you to have his way and cause disaster in your life so to fight against this you have to quote verses in the Bible during prayer so that you can change circumstances in you life that aren’t going exactly how you prefer them to. If the Holy Spirit pleases we shall go deeper into WARFARE and how to use Scripture to fight and win battles🙌

1.3 The third reason why you should read your Bible is to remind God of his promises when stuff starts going South in your life.

Put me in rembrance; let us argue our case together, state your cause, that you may be proved right.

Isaiah 43:26 NASB 1995

God himself asks us to come forth with our requests and our cases before him and if his word (the Bible) agrees with our cause we will be justified, in other words given justice. I believe an example will do. Let me quote randomly, Galatians 3:13 the Bible states that Christ has redeemed us from curses after having been a curse for us. So as a born again believer whose life is going South because you see generational curses and so forth, you are asked to plead your case before God so you may have the freedom Christ has brought you in the cross. It is important to quote scripture when you pray, it is a life changing way to pray. In short, your Bible is a spiritual language, you cannot be heard spirituallly without quoting the Creator’s word.

That sums up the reason why you should read your Bible which is the FIRST reason you probably do not read your Bible 😂. Join me again for the remaining FOUR reasons Why you can’t read your Bible, please leave a like if you have read until the end.

God bless you 💌

  2. Thank you so much for sharing. I always want to read the Bible, but the day passes without reading it. I now realized that I did not know the deep meaning of reading the Holy Book, that it will train my me for warfare. Thank you so much.
