Welcome back! I hope you make time to see my previous posts. Anyway today we’re talking about what I have discovered about the Holy Communion and I think now’s the perfect time to share this because we’re about to remember Jesus and have some in our churches (or at home). Good News first, the INVITATION!
Let’s meet on Insta Live, the event will be exclusively for those who RSVP and it will be held privately. Any necessary updates will be posted on my Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp stories. My social links will be below. Now, the word of God 😇
We partake of the Lord’s supper because:
It signifies the New Covenant of his blood that was shed on the Cross for the forgiveness of our sins, Luke 22:20
And also because it signifies the receiving of his spiritual flesh and blood, so that he dwells in us and us in him, John 6:5-56 this consumption also proclaims the eternal life we have life through our Lord Jesus.
Lastly, we partake in communion to connect on the memory of Christ’s death Corinthians 11:24-25.
Who can partake in Holy Communion?
To partake in Holy Communion one must be a born again Christian, have gone through self examination, repentance, and confession.
27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.1 CORINTHIANS 11:27-30
Okay now that the disclaimer is done…let me give a quick personal experience with taking Communion. I take Communion whenever the Holy Spirit leads me, that is anytime and not limited to Good Friday. I now know that the service of taking Communion is filled with God’s supernatural anointing because there was a time when I was battling a demon of spiritual husband and when I sought God for deliverence I was advised in a dream to take Communion along with my fasting.
I would pray and bless the elements which are the unleavened bread and the drink according to how we are instructed in the Bible then next I would declare, ‘ I am accepting Christ’s blood and body as the only covenant in my life! By so doing any other covenant in me that is not in line with God’s will, be broken in Jesus’s name!’ then I would have my bread and drink.
I took the blood and his body for seven days during my fast and made different declarations in relation to the warfare I was going through! I was delivered in the end with God. You can do this too during your Warfare, it aids the Faith and the anointing this service comes with will be very beneficial. I believe that just as we could get ill and even die from taking Communion unworthily, we can be healed and live by taking it whenever we need healing and life.
I hope the information above will equip you to make the most of this upcoming Good Friday. Please Romantize your Easter, even if you might not make it to church, then make time to read about Christ’s death (watch The Passion of Christ if you’re that strong😭) worship him and praise him, thank him for his death in prayer…have your Communion, marinade yourself in his blood…Just have a ‘Me’ time with your Saviour and come out of these holidays different, with a spiritual glow😇…I love you guys.
Don’t forget to RSVP!
